Kotak Mahindra Bank appoints Bhavnish Lathia as CTO

Kotak Mahindra Bank has announced the appointment of Bhavnish Lathia as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO), reinforcing the bank’s commitment to technological transformation and innovation.

Announcing the appointment, Ashok Vaswani, MD & CEO of Kotak Mahindra Bank, highlighted Lathia’s contributions over the past three years in driving the bank’s technology initiatives and building a strong engineering team. “The rapid deployment of technology, with business leaders working closely with their respective technology teams, will be key to transforming our businesses for scale,” Vaswani said. “With Bhavnish’s leadership, we will achieve our ambitious agenda and set the bar for technology leadership in the banking industry.”

Lathia expressed enthusiasm about his new role, emphasizing the importance of technology in the bank’s growth strategy. “I am honoured to take on this new role at Kotak Mahindra Bank. Technology is a key driver of our strategy to transform for scale, and I am excited to lead our efforts in this area,” he said.

His appointment is part of Kotak Mahindra Bank’s broader strategy to strengthen its leadership team and enhance its digital capabilities, ensuring it remains at the forefront of technological advancements in the banking sector.
