ASK Private Wealth Appoints Vinay Jaising as CIO

Posted on 23 January 202523 January 2025 by BNW News

Mumbai-based ASK Private Wealth, part of the Blackstone-backed ASK Asset & Wealth Management Group, has appointed Vinay Jaising as its Chief Investment Officer (CIO) and Head of Equity Advisory. Jaising will lead the firm’s equity advisory services, focusing on strategies across discretionary, non-discretionary, derivatives, and stock-specific offerings. These services will cater primarily to ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNIs), family offices, and institutional clients.

The appointment marks a significant move for ASK Private Wealth as it expands its in-house equity advisory capabilities. The wealth management firm is targeting a growing segment of sophisticated investors looking for customized financial strategies. Industry insiders see the hiring of Jaising, a veteran with nearly three decades of experience in Indian equities, as a strategic effort to solidify ASK’s position in this space.

Rajesh Saluja, CEO and Managing Director of ASK Private Wealth, described Jaising’s leadership as crucial for the firm’s plans to deliver tailored solutions for its clientele. He noted that the increasing sophistication of UHNIs and family offices presented a “significant growth opportunity” for ASK’s equity advisory business.

Jaising, who previously served as Principal Officer and Co-CIO of JM Financial’s PMS business, has also worked with ENAM Asset Management and Morgan Stanley. His credentials include an MBA from NMIMS, an MS from BITS Pilani, and a CFA charter.

This development comes as ASK Private Wealth continues to expand both its service offerings and geographical footprint. Recently, the firm launched an office in the Middle East and bolstered its leadership team with key appointments. Analysts say the firm’s focus on equity advisory reflects its effort to meet the evolving demands of India’s growing pool of UHNIs, a segment expected to drive significant growth in the wealth management industry.

ASK Private Wealth, which serves around 3,500 UHNI families, is part of the larger ASK Asset & Wealth Management Group. The group manages assets worth ₹78,000 crore as of December 2024 and operates across India, Dubai, and Singapore.
