Senior Director, Adv. Pralhad Kokare has been elected as the
Chairman and CA Yashwant Kasar as the Vice-Chairman of Cosmos Cooperative Bank Ltd., on
Thursday, December 26th, 2024 in the presence of Asst. Returning Officer Mr. Sanjay Raut in
the Board Meeting of the newly elected Board Members. Both were elected unanimously.
The uncontested Elections of Board of Directors for Cosmos Bank for the period 2025 to 2029 was
held recently.
Chairman, Adv. Pralhad Kokare is on the Board of Directors of Cosmos Bank since last 20
years. He is an efficient administrator who has retired as Joint-Registrar of Co-operative
Societies from the State Government. He was Bank’s Vice Chairman during 2019-2020 and
2020-2021.
He is heading the Bank as Chairman since November 2024. Since last 20 years he
has been active on various Committees of the Directors.
Vice Chairman, CA Yashwant Kasar is a Chartered Accountant as well as Member of Institute of
Chartered Accountants of England and Wales, Certified Information Systems Auditor (DISA),
Certified in Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT), Project Management Professional (PMP) and
Fellow of the Association of International Accountants, London.
He is the Regional Council
Member of Western India Regional Council (WIRC) of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of
India for the term 2019-25. CA Kasar is an expert on Tax Laws and Finance. He is Director of
Cosmos Bank since 2019. He also is the Secretary of Chartered Accountants in Co-operative
Banks (CA-COB).
